My grandparents, dad, and I went on this cruise's first journey after their so-called "renovations" We chose it because of its size so my grandmother could better get around. I have been on a Carnival cruise and a Norwegian cruise, and I would prefer either of them to this. I built up some solid expectations for this trip after my grandparents and dad have told me about how much they have liked their Royal Caribbean experiences in the past. While getting on board was relatively smooth, the rest of the trip was a disaster.

Dinner the first night took over three hours, then the orders were wrong anyway. Their were maybe 4-5 options for the entree and even less on the appetizers. As a sixteen year old, I didn't recognize a single thing on the menu, and I asked if there was a kids menu, and they did not. There was only the main dining room where you could expect to wait 4-5 hours on a meal, or the Windjammer cafe, with cold food, warm milk, runny eggs, and chunky yogurt. The hours were limited, and there were no other dining options or any kind of 24-hour joint.

The pool was absolutely tiny, about the size of a standard pool. And if you have teens or kids? There is a kids club that I don't know much about, but there are no teen activities or anything to do on board but go to the gym and lay out on the deck, where there is a major shortage of chairs. In addition, my dad and I tried to watch the movie they were showing at the end of the first day at sea at the pool, but they never turned off the island music in the background even though the movie was playing on the screen.

Cabin Review

It was smaller than other cabins I've been in, but fairly nice. The main stewardess was very nice. However, we were in handicapped room due to my grandmother's difficulty moving around, but I don't see how it was any different than the other rooms. There were big steps into the bathroom then again into the shower. Speaking of the shower, it was so small that I had to step out just to turn around and i couldn't even lift my elbows.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

I had fun on the island tour I took. It was not through the cruise ship and it saved us a lot of money.

Key West

My dad and I did the jet ski tour through "Bare foot billy's" and it was a lot of fun. We did not book it through the cruise.
