We loved the Magic, the ship is big but it is really easy to get around and never felt over crowded. There was always room in the Lido marketplace, in the comedy lounge or theater. We enjoyed hanging out by the aft pool. It is quieter then the Lido pool and the bathroom is nicer and a shorter wait at the bar and drink station. Unlike other ships we've been on we were always able to get some time in the hot tub. There are two tubs in this area and some down on 5 as well. It is tough to find a lounge chair on Sea days but we were able to find some just up the stairs, nice breeze up there as well.

The food was of course excellent. We ate dinner in the main dining room and of course ate plenty of Guys burgers, We were so excited they refurbished this ship and added Guys. They also have the Pig and anchor on 5. The line was long but goes fast and is worth it. Seating fills up quick and if you don't have the beverage deal or want to buy a drink, bring something to drink with you. You can always eat it inside or walk across Ocean Plaza and eat outside the Red frog. We ate at Cucina and the food delicious. It is worth the extra fee. It is nice to sit in a cozy little restaurant after eating in the large dining rooms and Lido. The waiters sing and if it is a birthday or anniversary they make a fuss. The portions are huge but the desserts were the best part. .

The cruise director Dr, E is the best. He was so much fun and so funny. We have two teens who love the comedy shows and ping pong or mini golf .....but they enjoyed one of the parties with Dr. E we went to early in the trip so much we went to everything he hosted in the evening for the rest of the week.. They even danced!! He really made this cruise even more memorable for us.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We always part right at the port. It is worth the extra money for such a short walk.

San Juan

San Juan was fun. I had purchased a tour book prior to the cruise and we did our own walking tour to El Morro along along the Paseo de la Princesa and back through Old San Juan to Pigeon Park. Great way to save money from booking an excursion.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Loved Amber Cove. Lots of excursions to pick from, we loved Coconut Cove beach. Gorgeous views and plenty to do. The drive is really long and bumpy.
