First time on Royal Caribbean in eight years and and I will return very soon! We drove down from South Carolina and arrived around 11:15 a.m. We were on the ship up by the pool area before 11:45 a.m. We had surprised our 4 1/2 year old grandson who thought we were going to a hotel room with a pool. Rooms were outstanding (our travel agent rocks), Deck 12, adjoining rooms in the front of the ship. Had our room steward open the balcony doors and the linking door so it was just like a suite all week. Beds very comfortable. We were close to Adventure Ocean (Deck 12 aft) and the pools (Deck 11) and Wind Jammer (Deck 11 aft). And yet it was very quite in our rooms, only heard the music from the pool if out on the balcony.
Our grandson loved Adventure Ocean and spent most of the evenings there after dinner, his choice. Mostly ate in Wind Jammer with the 4 year old and the food was awesome. We live in a tourist city and avoid buffets like the plague. Not so here, lots of choices and variety and the staff was very gracious and went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. Every night was something different and specially made, dessert crepes, Mongolian Grill, all made to order.
Cococay - I truly believe this stop has seen far too many people and it shows. St. Thomas - went on Buck Island Turtle Cove Adventure with Cool Boats - loved it! Crew of Dave, Chris and Reb on a pirate ship, who could ask for more? Saw all sorts of sea turtle, rays and reef fish and even got a pirate tattoo (temporary). Our grandson got to sail the pirate ship! Definitely would do it again. St. Marteen - rented a Jeep and saw Maho Beach (for the jets) and spent most of the day at Mullet Beach. The water is so clear it looks like a pool. Great beach, small shack serving drinks and food, not crowded and great time overall.
Large cabin with balcony and great location to all we could want.
Very easy to park in covered deck and board ship.
Rented a Jeep and explored on our own. Love Mullet Beach.
