We chose the ship as this was a first cruise for three women and the reviews were good. It was like a floating residential home with a hint of urine. The food ranged from very poor to middling, the drinks were okay and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our cabin was very small and smelly and the corridors were dirty.
Getting on and off the ship was straightforward and we proved to be good sailors even though we had a few days of very wet weather and choppy seas.
The entertainment team were professional and tried really hard but it was all very dated.
We thought that Cadiz was just lovely, portomao (not sure of spelling) was really not worth getting off the ship for , Lisbon and Casablanca interesting, Gibraltar very good for duty free shopping but very touristy.
Would we cruise again - definitely, Thompson Spirit- only for the very elderly or very large.
