A big let down. Overall I think Royal Caribbean is better.

I really don't know where to start! We had really looked forward to this cruise, it was our 10th Wedding anniversary and was a special cruise to celebrate. We were so happy when we arrived, we'd paid extra to have a deluxe balcony cabin as it was a celebration, well we regretted it pretty soon. We had a bath as well as a shower in the cabin, although the first night we used the bath, the water couldn't wash away as the plug was stuck and it wasn't going to budge, well we went for the evening meal and when we came back and the beds had been turned down, the bath was still full of water, the room steward had just left it, we spoke to reception and they said it would be dealt with (this unfortunately happened 4 times during our stay in this room which really was poor). My husband actually put a crumb on the floor to see if the room was hoovered, well a week later it was still there! We had net curtains removed from the balcony doors on day 2 and it took us a week to get them returned and had to shut the main curtains every day to keep the room from frying, no explanation for them being taken away for so long, all we got was they had a tear in them! The room steward thought I was in the room alone and wouldn't go away until he heard my husband shouting from the bathroom, he really didn't get the hint and I was standing in my bathrobe. On the second night, Black Tie Night we paid extra to go in the Marco Pierre White restaurant, it was outside under the stars and was lovely, we sat with all the others who had paid extra for the privilege only to find a couple of teenagers were allowed in with football t-shirt and shorts on, his partner had dressed nicely but we were all disappointed, it was Black Tie night, how did he manage to get in passed the restaurant manager, we all felt very fed up about it, but nothing was done, this wouldn't have happened on a Royal Caribbean ship! The entertainment was varied, the shows were a little tedious and some were really good like the comedians and musicians, the dancers did really well. The dining room was very busy always, we had freedom dining which was great, but whenever we went for dinner we had to wait quite a while to eat, the waiters nearly bash you on the head with trays, rush off to serve other tables whilst you're trying to tell them what you'd like, it wasn't very good at all. The destinations were amazing, we were so happy and tried not to let the poor room get us down.
