My hubby and I were going on another cruise in January so we wanted to see what it was like with a simpler one. This one was two days at sea with stops at Port Canaveral, Nassau, and Freeport, Bahamas. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed the cruise. The cruise director, Steve, kept us busy with many activities, and there was always something going on all over the place.
The ports we visited were great. In Port Canaveral, we did the Disney shopping tour which was neat as I had never been to these shops. In Nassau, we traveled to Balmoral Island to feed the stingrays and have some beach time. In Freeport, we weren't going to get off, but we saw all the little shops and decided to after all. We found several great bargains.
The ship is easy to navigate once you get your bearings. We spent most of our time on the upper decks with the pools and exercise track. It got really windy some days, and this led to them being closed. The water park was always busy.
Our cabin was very nice as well. It was about what I expected with a balcony. Our steward, Richard, was attentive and wonderful to work with throughout the week. I enjoyed all the towel animals he left for us. The bathroom was small, but not so small that I couldn't move around. It was comfortable for me. I hated that the light switch was on the outside because every time my hubby leaned against the wall, he would flip the light off on me.
This was a very organized port as getting on and getting off the ship wasn't bad at all.
We did not do an excursion, but we did leave the boat to go shopping. The people were nice and very friendly, and getting back on the boat was quick and simple.
