I traveled with my daughter and her family, the ports were all of major importance to us and we enjoyed our excursions very much. We booked private tours in 4 ports of call that were not part of the offerings from NCL. At Marseille we did book the tour offered by NCL and it was wonderful. The "meeting" time was actually the LEAVING time so we almost missed getting on the bus. Someone should review how they communicate time to passengers.

The ship was overrun by a very, very large number (I heard 3500 from one person, 2000 by another) oriental women who were extremely rude, pushing, shoving, loud and everywhere! They were all from the same company; it was clearly marked on their blue tote bags so when I got home I looked them up. They very clearly posted on their Facebook page last September that there was an incentive trip planned. I wonder if Norwegian does this very often because if they do I don't expect to book another trip with them. I also wonder why the security personnel were not stepping in to tell this one woman she needed to stay in line, put her phone on the conveyor belt AND step through the scanner one person at a time. Instead, she tried to walk through it at the same time as I was. Another woman was trying to push items she wanted to purchase across the counter where my daughter was already in the middle of making a purchase herself. I found their behavior extremely annoying and I think Norwegian should let this company know they are going to lose business because of them.

I was also charged for an item I didn't receive and was charged for soda when my card was clearly marked SODA package. My TV and phone went dead one night when I really needed the wake up call to work the next morning. We spent one night before the cruise and two nights after in Barcelona. The city is amazing. We stayed at two different hotels that were excellent. The sights in Barcelona kept us very busy and we enjoyed it very much. I might cruise again, but I would like to know ahead of time if this same company has booked several hundred of their employees on the same ship I'm considering.

Cabin Review

Studio

The room and the steward were just fine; exceptional value on both.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

We used the Hop On Hop Off Bus in Barcelona and did not book excursions through the cruise line.

Cannes

We walked around town after taking the tender. It was our day to shop and have fun.
