Loved the Allure! The cruise was full, but we never waited on line for anything. We had a great time. We flew into Ft. Lauderdale and stayed at the Embassy Suites. They had a package that picked us up at the airport and took us to the ship the next morning. Nice location--we were able to walk to restaurants and a grocery store to pick up water to take with us on the cruise. After breakfast, we went to the ship and waited about 30 minutes until we were ready to board. Had lunch on the ship at the Central Park restaurant instead of the Windjammer. Great soups, salads, and sandwiches--roast beef sandwich cannot be beat!
Food was really very good with the exception of lunch at Labadee. Not good--too many flies and they ran out of just about everything. What we did get was not good, so we went back on the ship and had pizza at Sorrento's. Dinners in the main dining room were excellent--probably due to the attentiveness of or waiter, Angel, and assistant waiter, Eric. They were the best. We did notice some cost savings in menu choices--such as only having escargot two nights and not having roast duck, but subbing chicken(I am not looking for roasted chicken on my cruise).
The shows were first rate, Mama Mia and the Aqua show were amazing. Also had Ronn Lucas, a ventriloquist performing and he was great, funny, and personable.
Spacious room with everything we needed. Nice balcony with comfortable chairs.
Easy port to get in and out of.
Beautiful port! White sandy beaches, blue water and relaxing lounging. Probably one of the prettiest place I have ever been to.
Stayed in the port. Did not feel the area outside the port was safe--unless you were on a ship excursion.
Loved shopping in Cozumel... the original price is not what you should be paying. Attend the shopping show on board.
