Room ~ Cabin 9167 was very good with a lovely bathroom and shower. Spacious, enough hangers and overhead cupboards for a comfortable 11 night cruise. Our room steward was attentive and eager to please.

Food ~ The main dining room food was ok but the Oceanview Cafe buffet was really poor. Everything tasted the same and we really didn`t enjoy any of the evening offerings in there. Usual fight at breakfast and an awful lot of people ignoring the sanitiser stations and using their hands to pick food up ~ whilst being watched by staff and not stopped. We dined at all the Speciality Restaurants and found Sushi on Five distinctly average, QSine completely over hyped ~ unexpected food served in a creative way apparently. If you can call a glass with a flashing led light cube and a prawn cocktail on top "disco shrimp" then I guess that shows the level of "creativity". Muranos was very good and Tuscan Grill and Lawn Club were superb. Mast Grill served good burgers and hot dogs up until 6pm. The food was one of the 3 main things that we were disappointed with, and it was only 3 of the Speciality Restaurants that we felt truly served 5 star food.

Drinks ~ We upgraded to the premium package and not being a drinks connoisseur, I asked for a cocktail menu so I could decide what I`d like as I heard others asking for some fabulous drinks. However, it was almost impossible to get a drinks menu of any kind and we met many frustrated customers who had no idea what they could have under the package they were on. We also saw staff being exceptionally rude to those on the classic package and not remotely trying to help them decide what they could have to their budget. This was another part of the offering we found really poor. It would not be difficult to make a list of cocktails available at ALL bars, not just the speciality bars. Apart from that the upgrade to the premium package wasn`t worth it for us on the overall cruise but as an upgrade to a free package it was worth the worry taking out of it. Read more
