We decided on this Carnival cruise because of the times and dates. This was a high school graduation gift for our kids and some of their friends. First time on a Carnival ship and after being told by a few people that Carnival is a lower end cruise line, we were pleasantly surprised with the overall condition of the Conquest. Although all the kids had interior cabins, they were much more spacious than some of Carnivals competition. My wife and I had a balcony suite, and this was very spacious and comfortable.
All of the Carnival employees were very friendly and accommodating. Food was fairly decent. However, the upgrade restaurant, The Point, was by far one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at. Top quality food and service! The ship stopped at three spots. Half Moon Cay is one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see. Amber Cove was a beautiful spot, but Puerto Plata leaves nothing to be desired. Dirty beaches full of trash. Grand Turk is a beautiful spot. We arrived by 8am, but then late in the morning another Carnival ship pulled in and the island became much too crowded.
Carnival's brand is The Fun Ships, and they most definitely lived up to this. Overall everyone had a great time. We had 5 18 year olds with us and they had a lot of fun at Half Moon Cay, Amber Cove, and Grand Turk, however there is not a lot for 18-20 year olds to do onboard the ship. I would recommend Carnival to anyone looking to have a fun cruise at a reasonable price.
Very spacious. Lots of closet space. Large bathroom with jacuzzi tub. Large balcony.
