Everything went smoothly with this cruise. the pick up arrangements at the airport, the check-in for the ship at a hotel and the access to to ship and cabin.

A week in the sunshine (in Jan/Feb) helped but our memories are of a very pleasant trip, with no hassle and easy access (via courtesy bus) to all the ports and towns/cities without doing any formal excursions.

Cabin was good, room services was excellent (even the breakfast served to the room was surprisingly good), bed was good as were the pillows. We were upgraded the day before we left so access to a both on a ship was a real bonus. Upgrade was to a Junior Suite. Bigger room, seating for four, lots of storage space, a bath and sizeable balcony.

Port Reviews

Muscat

After breakfast we headed for the courtesy bus by Muscat local authority to Muscat via the Port entry terminal. Arrived at Mussart souq at mid morning and had a fascinating stroll through the many avenues and alleyways of the bustling and busy Arabic souq. Bought some more small pressies; frankincense, tee shirts and then some wonderful non alcoholic cocktail juices. Walked back to the courtesy bus at the port. All very safe.

Abu Dhabi

Did our own thing and went shopping - too expensive!
