I wished I had booked a longer cruise on Disney, but sadly we couldn't afford it. My husband, myself and our 4 year old son were on the Disney Magic for our honeymoon. The ship was very clean and mostly well organized. Our host was very nice and friendly. The only issue with our stateroom was we kept bumping into the bed as the space between the bed and the wall is minimal. I was excited that we had a tub for our son, but the water leaked out very quickly. I don't know if this is normal or not.
Dining was great. The food was pretty good most of the time. Palo was amazing. Our wait staff was fantastic. I don't know if anyone can ever top them. The shows were pretty good, but I wished there were more show times for the movies in the theatre. Service was mostly good, but there were a couple of interactions that were unDisneylike.
The shore excursions were pretty poor. I don't know if this is the same for all cruise lines (because this was our first cruise) but I really wasn't impressed for the money we paid. We did love Castaway Cay. The water was clear blue.
Cabin was a little small. We kept bumping into the bed and banging our legs because the space in between the bed and the wall is minimal and its the only way to the seating area. The queen bed was great and very comfortable. The split bath was cool. The tub wouldn't hold water for more than a few minutes. The closet was small. The window was big and the views were really nice.
Everyone was very helpful and friendly, especially because we arrived late. Embarkation was fast and easy.
Key West is very charming.
Castaway Cay was great. The water was clear and blue. The sand was soft and white. The staff was helpful and friendly. The buffet was really good.
