First time cruise with Mrs. Cruiser and another couple. No kids on this trip. We had a blast, so much so that both couples booked two more Royal Caribbean cruises, one for Dec 2016 and another for May 2017.

Getting on board in Baltimore was a snap - had that seapass all printed off and ready to go. Less than an hour from getting out of our hotel van to getting on board. We were on the ship at 11:30. Rooms were not available until 1:00 pm so we went up to deck 9 and the Windjammer Cafe for lunch and that first bar stop at the pool. It was great "getting acquainted" with our new home before departing the port at 4:00 pm. Luggage with delivered timely. Having preprinted RC luggage tags was handy too.

Our cabin was on deck three, ocean view. Storage is cleverly built in. Mrs. Cruiser and I had three big suitcases between us and it all fit just fine. Bring one suit or tux for formal dining on day two. You will need pants to dine in the evening. Shorts are not allowed at dinner. We used suitcases that all fit inside one suitcase which made in cabin luggage storage easy. The room was small, but not unbearably so. Beds were pushed together to make a king size. Both Mrs. Cruiser and I missed our bed at home. It was OK on the ship, but not much more. Ventilation in the bathroom is not great. We brought bathroom air freshener with us, which was a lifesaver. Showers were a bit tricky but once we figured out how to best use the plumbing it was satisfactory. The sink water supply is barely adequate. I took to using the hand held shower nozzle to fill the sink for shaving. Hot water was more than hot enough. We had four available electrical outlets. Our cabin steward was very attentive and pleasant. All of our requests for extra pillows, blankets, and what not were fulfilled quickly and without complaint. Service was a winner here. Decor is nothing to write home about, but certainly pleasant. I get motion sickness, and having now sailed, I cannot imagine using an inside cabin lacking a window. It would not have been pretty. Spend the money for the window, it is worth it.
