Our cruise to Alaska on the Noordam was amazing.
We were very lucky as the weather the entire week was perfect. Very sunny and warm. We brought 2 bottle of wine with us onboard...no problem.
The scenery along the entire route is beautiful. There was still snow on the top of the mountains. We did see Orcas, some wales, 2 bears, lots of birds and otters.
Our Room - (VD 6030) The stateroom was immaculate, lots of closets and great storage. Nice size bathroom with a tub. Hotel like soaps/shampoos & hair dryer. I think the room was about 270 Sq Ft. Bed very comfy, nice linens. Turn down service. Sofa to watch the shoreline go by. Glass patio front so we could see the ocean. Two chairs and table on the deck. The room was quiet the black out curtains helped with the 4:30 A.M. sunrises. Lots of videos and some TV (not important to us). We brought our IPad with music. ****Glad we brought binoculars and a small bungie cord so we could keep the door open. As we we did not have to run a/c in the room.
Beautiful city. Cruise terminal is downtown. Excellent public transit (Skytrain) to the airport. We spent three day after our cruise in Vancouver. Very walk able, great public transit, Stanley Park, the seawall, Granville Island Public Market are musts.
Rented bikes and biked around the seawall for miles.
