Norwegian Epic Review

First Time Solo Cruiser

Review for the Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

This was my first cruise and I did not know what to expect. I am an experienced solo traveller but have never enjoyed the comforts of a cruise. Norwegian epic was the way to go.

Booking online proved to be a blessing and a curse. I was happy to enjoy the comfort of canceling to take advantage of a better promotion and price as it had dropped since my original booking, however there is no online contact should you have questions. I had many and had a hard time getting information from anyone at Norwegian. I had to rely on forums like cruisecritic to get answers. Also, the promotions weren't fully explained as I had a very different expectation for the specialty dining package. A prearrival service or general customer service online service would have been very helpful.

The comforts of the ship were all I could have hoped for. The studio stateroom is amazing with so much space and a comfortable bed. Entertainment was lovely and I saw most shows. The complimentary restaurants were good and almost at par with the specialty restaurants. The menus were varied and more than enough.

Cabin T1

Comfortable, spacious for a solo cruiser, wonderful room steward. Perfect location in the middle of the ship. Close enough but far enough from the studio lounge and never far from one of the elevators.
