Thought this would be good for our first Viking cruise. We wanted a more laid back experience and smaller boat. We had a great time, and can't wait to go on another Viking River Cruise. The crew was great, always very helpful and smiling. We also loved our program director, Loren, he was so funny and knowledgeable. The food was great, and we loved that the number of people on the Longships is only 190. You get more attention than when there are 3000+ people. Viking knows how to expedite getting on and off the ship in a timely and orderly manner. The tour guides were all excellent. We loved using the "quiet boxes" while on our tour. We felt very secure with our tour guides when we were on excursions. we never felt rushed. There was always somewhere to sit in the restaurants or on the sun deck. We highly recommend Viking.
