I booked the Solstice because it was a new ship and I liked the itinerary. I was sailing with my two children ages 9 and 13 and their previous cruise was on Holland America Line in Alaska. We live in Florida so we did not have to stay in a hotel.

The ship is exceptionally beautiful. Getting our stateroom cards and checking in was a breeze. We arrived about 1pm and were greeted with smiles, champagne, and mimosas. The rooms were ready and we went to drop off our carry-on bag.

Our stateroom was on deck 10. The room was very nice and clean. We had fresh fruit and champagne to greet us. The concierge level comes with these perks. The first day we received hors d'oeuvres and then a card to fill out if we wanted them. You had to be in the room in order for them to be delivered. We filled it out for the next day and we were in the room but nothing arrived. We decided not to fill out the card again and have to commit to being in the room for nothing to arrive. On our Alaska trip we were invited to many VIP parties and the Celebrity website did state that we would have VIP invites throughout the cruise. We did not receive a single invitation.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 2

The cabin was fine but you had to use all of the spaces for your clothes. One thing that is missing is a mirror with magnification. I am so use to using one and they are in all of the hotels. There is room to screw one in to the cabinet in the bathroom. Also, please change the toilet paper holder.

The doors to the balcony were very soundproof. You did not know your neighbors were out there until you opened the door!!
