Embarkation was excellent, we arrived at 12 and there was no waiting. We went straight to the Windjammer which was very good especially as it was the first day. Our cabin was ready at 3pm. The ship had apparently been in dock for some sort of upgrade, all I can say is that our cabin and other areas around the ship were looking old. I was very disappointed to see thick dust on the drawer rims but other than that it appeared to be clean.

The entertainment and activities were ok. The guitarist, and the other 3 bands were excellent.

The dining room was a real disappointment. For the first time in any cruise we chose to go to the Windjammer for breakfast and lunch as it was better than the dining room. The service both at breakfast and lunch was awful. Evening dining wasn't great either, it wasn't the fault of the waiting staff. The food wasn't good, was unimaginative and we often found that we had trouble in finding something we wanted to eat. On one occasion there was cherry dessert but they had run out of the cherries that was normally used for the dessert so used glace cherries which was disgusting.
