Carnival was the first that popped up during a search. I called them directly and was sold within ten minutes. I wish I had done a little more research on other lines. "You get what you pay for"---I should have remembered that, but for travelling with a family of five, the price was right.

I have never seen so many drunken individuals (including young teenagers) anywhere on any vacation. Now I know why this line has the reputation of being a "party" ship. They should call it "wild party" ship, not "fun ship". Its not fun watching intoxicated teenagers everywhere you go, especially when they are loud, screaming obscenities at the top of their lungs at each other. I saw one young girl passed out in the hallway on the first sea day. I wondered if her parents knew where she was.

Food was great, service was friendly and efficient, especially in the dining room.

Port Reviews

Nassau

Took a bus to the Melia Resort. Very nice beach, good snorkeling.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Took the waterfalls tour. The highlight of out trip. We will definitely return to the Dominican Republic, just not on a cruise ship.

Grand Turk

Beautiful beaches, very flat island. Nice cruise center. A visit to Jacks Shack is a must.
