Totally ordinary experience. Not a special experience in any way.

Live in Texas. Took the cruise from Galveston as it is nearest where I live. They lost our luggage, they changed our room without apology. Would not even hunt down our luggage. Guest Services personnel were grumpy, grouchy and rude to everyone. They were insulting.

Food in main dining room was edible but not imaginative. Same stuff on menu. Very little selection. Dining room service from our waiters was good. Shorts and bra tops were allowed in main dining room. No attempt to enforce the dress codes even on formal night. Gone are white table cloths, lobster on formal nights and cherries jubilee and Baked Alaska. If you want any seafood at all you have to go to the paid dining rooms on the ship. When we questioned the Mat'd about the dress code or lack there of, we were told that Carnival does not want to confront or offend guests not adhering to the dress codes. Thus, they say nothing to guests on how they are dressed.

Getting on the ship was better than most. Getting off the ship was very good. Probably the most organized disembarkation we have ever experienced on any cruise anywhere.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8E

Dirty balcony glass. Room steward was efficient. Had to call maintenance to unstop clogged sink drain and shower. Room looked old, tired and worn.
