Overall, we had a wonderful first time cruise. Lot's of food and activities. Found the staff to be nice overall. Stopped at Cozumel (recommend the Speed Boat excursion if you are highly adventurous, as the waves kept you airborne!), and next stop was Grand Cayman (very expensive). We did the Catamaran & Snorkeling w/stingrays excursion and it couldn't have been more perfect. Glad we chose the cabin with deck, as we could chill out once in awhile away from the crowds. If you are a sunbather who wants to lay by the pool, get up before 7:00 am and save a lounge chair. Very crowded. Lunch and breakfast was a hit or miss...but we consistently had delicious dinners. Very happy that the passengers ranged from young & old (spring break, so lots of kids). Although we didn't have children w/us, found enough location and activities for adults. One night was "All White Party", in which you dress up in white and party. 99% of the participants were teenagers, who were finally asked to leave at midnight - at which time my hubby and I could party without bumping into children. No problem with getting on the ship (esp. if you have all your paperwork in order), nor disembarkment (we pre-purchased shuttle service to the airport). Flew into/out of Ft. Lauderdale. On our way back home, we were in line at the airport for over an hour. I suppose there were lots of folks arriving on cruise ships that day.
Most definitely will cruise again (5 day was ideal for first time cruising), however will try another cruise line. Norwegian seems to nickle and dime you throughout your trip (i.e, for dinner, they have a surcharge for most of the restaurants). You pay for all alcohol and soda.
We were in cabin 10628. No noise from above/below. Perfect room w/deck. Lots of storage space. Relatively small bathroom, but functional.
