I love Viking. Have traveled with them several times before. Gave them a 4 this time because for the first time not all of the food was excellent. They featured Belgium waffles for a cooking demo and again for desert on a regional specialties buffet. They were terrible! Undercooked and soggy. Very disappointing. Also the recipe they handed out at the cooking demo had incorrect instructions. Had no one else mentioned that to them?

Also, all of the soups were puréed. They tasted good, but they all had identical texture. really don't want my clam chowder and cream of broccoli to have the same consistency. Perhaps we were meant to sip it through a straw?

Other than that theccruisecwas up to the usual standards. Viking service is always excellent. The ship is immaculate. I do enjoy the heated floors in the bathrooms on the new ships...especially during an unseasonably chilly spring.
