I stayed in Amsterdam for a couple of days prior to my sailing date as a pre-cruise booking and loved it! My hotel was one block off the canal and in walking distance to the everything. The hotel was wonderful and the service was great.
The cruise was wonderful and provided interesting ports and the guides were knowledgeable and very friendly. several times I skipped the tour and ventured out on my own which was nice. The concierge was helpful giving me directions and pointing out places to visit. The food on the ship was excellent and the service was great.
I booked a veranda cabin and loved it. It was tight but well appointed and you don't stay in that much because there is so much going on during the cruise. The entertainment in the lounge is good as are the cultural talks and the cooking demonstrations. I also booked a post cruise stay in Luzern for 2 days. A beautiful city. The Viking staff were very helpful and nice. I am a single women and I travel alone and I find that Viking is very supportive to single travelers which is not always the case.
The cabin was cozy and warm. Nicely appointed with a refrigerator, which was nice to keep water and sodas and chocolate in, Bed was comfortable.
Very moving
The guide was excellent and funny.
Hit the Christmas market which meant you were walking around all of Strasbourg and it was wonderful.
The cathedral was amazing!
