This was my third cruise with Viking, having sailed with them to China and Germany, and I really wanted to see The Netherlands and Belgium. I had such a wonderful time on previous cruises, I knew I'd have a grand time on this one. Amsterdam was wonderful, as were all the cities we visited. I was traveling alone, but never felt alone as all the other cruisers were welcoming and friendly.

The ship was the Viking Gullveig - it's just beautiful, with every possible amenity one could ask for. The crew was friendly and helpful, and I felt very cared for. My stateroom was large, with a queen size bed, lots of closet space, a huge TV, and was kept spotless by the room steward. The included shore excursions were well planned and very interesting. I can recommend Viking without reservation - it's dependable, affordable and the best river cruise in my opinion. I would go again in a heartbeat!
