We have been cruising with RCI at least 4 times. We cruised on the Explorer of the Seas when it was relatively new in 2001. We enjoyed all previous RCI cruising due to the food, shows and services. However, this 24 nights transpacific cruise changes all of these previous memories and listed below are the reasons:

RCL has become a supper cheap cruise line based on the followings:

We received an email prior to boarding that there is a break out of stomach problems. However, in the buffet area, guests are allowed to get their drinks and get their own food. In other cruise lines I have been on, such as Holland America, Princess etc. They will not allow you to serve yourself at least for 24 hours. Some may be 72 hours.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Cabin- We were in a deluxe balcony cabin, there is not even a coffee table. RCL claimed the coffee table causes accidents and that is why they removed them except in Suites. If I want one, I can call guest services and they will send me one. Well, I did called and get one, but it is all wear out and in poor shape

2) There are no chocolate on the pillow any more every night.

3) 30% of the hanger in the closet only has the head on the rack but no hangers

4) Face towel is the roughest I have ever used. I tip my cabin steward and he start to bring me almost new ones but they are still rough and hard.
