We chose Viking because of recommendations from several friends. From the moment we boarded the ship until the time we disembarked two weeks later, we were treated like royalty. The food was fabulous, our cabin was perfectly suited to our needs, the lounge area was beautiful and inviting, and all shore excursions were interesting and fun.

Although we had to change ships mid-cruise due to repairs on the Main-Danube Canal, it was not difficult and was handled with incredible efficiency. Because of this unavoidable change, we experienced two different crews and both groups were outstanding - friendly, kind, attentive.

We extended our trip with three days in Prague. Even though we were no longer on a ship, the service was still excellent. The local guides were incredible. In particular, the guide for our all-day excursion to Terezin was fantastic as she recounted the story of the place before and during World War II. Read more
