We had never done a river cruise and the Rhine River sounded like a special type of trip. Until than we had always done ocean cruises. The experience was great. Compared to ocean cruises, this type of cruise is very laid back, yet full of activities. The food was excellent and the staff was superb and during the cruise we found out that from the captain on down, each hand pitched in wherever there was a need.

The inclusion of excursions is a wonderful addition to a cruise and they were each and everyone very enlightening,, mainly because of the excellent guides at each of the ports. From an American citizen standpoint, it is hard to fathom the ages that some of these different cities and towns have been in existence. The complimentary choice of wines or soft drinks at dinner or lunch is a nice perk. We would greatly recommend this type of cruise and we are looking forward to another one in the near future.
