We like sailing Viking, opportunity to see Paris. This trip gave us both. And both were great. The thing that was best about the cruise was the care that the crew took in serving the passengers. It was beyond just being nice. In every port the tours were informative and entertaining. The wait staff was super. The tour director was efficient and very entertaining. The concierge was fabulous. The ship's hotel staff, from top to bottom was excellent. The Captain and his staff ensured everything went smoothly from start to finish.

Paris was, well, Paris (fabulous). The Viking personnel there were efficient and courteous. The hotel, Le Meridian, was ok. Breakfast was very good. The room was clean. Our view from the room was of the HVAC system. And one day they missed cleaning our room. Not quite five stars. We opted for the two extra days there (on our own). The location of the hotel, near the Arc de Triumph, led to ease in self exploration of that great city.
