Other friends recommended Viking and had wonderful experiences. My cousin and i booked this cruise as a retirement celebration two years ago. However, her cardiologist had us cancel just 8 days prior to sailing due to a life threatening health condition. We had booked through AAA and had taken out trip insurance which was used. Fortunately, with her cleared for travel we were able to rebook and take it this past April.

I cannot say enough good things about Viking. We were taken care of from the time we landed in Munich until our departure after an extension in Budapest. In fact, our Viking representative stayed with us at the Budapest airport until we had cleared security. Our every need was met in a way that exceeded our expectations.

The ship itself was lovely. Meals were fantastic and always had options. The staff was extremely friendly and patient. The inclusive shore excursions were wonderful with outstanding guides as were the optional ones we took. In Budapest the Viking representative in our hotel during our extension was extremely helpful even making us a dinner reservation. Read more
