We have been on two Viking River Cruises so we know the quality of Viking. (We have also been on one Viking Ocean cruise and have another planned of Sept). We picked this river cruise for its itinerary. We have never been to the south of France. It began in Avignon and ended in Lyon. The Cruise Director, Christine, made ALL shore excursions excellent.

We don't pick a river cruise for the cabin, but it was certainly adequate. We view the boat as a floating hotel. The food was very good, but we don't take a cruise for the food, we take a cruise for the itinerary. I hate beating a dead horse or repeating myself, but the itinerary is our most important reason for choosing a specific cruise. We don't choose a cruise boat or ship for the boat or ship, because (again) the boat or ship is a floating hotel.

Cabin Review

Certainly adequate, equal to a four or five star hotel room.
