There were 6 adults and 2 kids ages 12 and 8. We decided on this cruise because it offered a lot of activities for all ages. Embarkation was very quick. We were on the ship within an hour (maybe less) of arriving at the port. Once on board we went to the champagne bar to buy our drink passes and then we went to the buffet lunch. It was crowded but not too bad. The food was ok. There was a lot of variety. We then went to our cabins and found out that luggage was being brought up. This was before the 1:00 timeframe they tell you. We waited for luggage while the others took the kids to the pool. The pools were very nice and cleaned. Well maintained the entire time. My husband and I stayed mostly at the adults only pool. It's small but quieter. The hot tubs were great.
Our first night in the dining wood was a bit disappointing. We were on ATD , but I made reservations for each night prior to boarding the ship. That worked out fine. Our disappointment was with the food. Steaks were tough except a filet that was very tender but lacking flavor. We paid extra to go to the Italian restaurant and it was not worth it. I had crab ravioli and it was gummy. I ordered creme brûlée and it arrived looking syrupy. It was the worst I've ever had. The highlights were lobster night - delicious. Key lime pie delicious.
Our last day at sea we decided to have lunch in the dining room. It was so good and had a very nice salad bar. You tell them what you want on your salad and what type of lettuce they make it for you. I wish we had thought to eat there earlier in the trip. It was less hectic and a nice atmosphere. We met a lot of nice people at breakfast and lunches. We are not food snobs and have been on other cruises so we understand the difficulty of feeding that many people.
Very nice. Cabin and bathroom were large and shower had a rounded hard door so no messy shower curtain. Plenty of storage and drawer space. The balcony was a good size too. Room service was always timely.
we got to see a lot of the island which was nice
