Although I knew the Serenade was an older ship, and I usually cruise on Celebrity, I chose to go on this trip due to the wonderful itinerary..Azores, Le Havre, Brugges, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. This was a 16 day cruise .

I was disappointed in the quality of the food. The steak, for example, was filled with gristle, and basically inedible. Croissants were not crisp...you had to ask for shrimp cocktail or salmon as it was not on the menu. Service, however, was excellent both in the Main Dining Room and in the Windjammer.

I have done 2 Celebrity transatlantic so and there was always some activity I was interested in. This was not true on this cruise. There was only one so-called Enrichment lecturer, a retired pharmacist , who showed humorous slides about dogs and cAts etc but really was not informative or stimulating. He was also repetitious on a daily basis.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

A little worn, in the aft of the ship with an extended balcony. Quiet, lots of storage, far from elevators or stairs
