Phenomenal cruise. The ship and bathrooms were spotlessly clean. Service throughout the ship was outstanding. Josie , our room steward was pleasant, efficient and thorough. We didn't have to ask for anything. We booked a Veranda room concierge class room 9338. Balcony views were unobstructed. We were given fresh fruit and a small tray of olives, spreads and crackers every afternoon. We had them stop sending us the small trays ... we were always too full to eat them. We chose the Classic Beverage Package and received an additional $300 ship board credit. Our gratuities were paid in advance. We didn't have to pay for anything, however we did leave an extra tip for Josie and our favorite bartender Dario at the Passport bar. In fact, we had $289 dollars left in shipboard credit two days before departure. My wife ended up buying a Kate Spade bag and purse, which made her very happy. When we left the ship, our tab was $1.35! They tried to upsell us to a Premium liquor package. It was not necessary. We were able to drink Ketel 1 or Absolute Vodkas. I could drink Corona's or Heineken's and any $9 glass of wine or Proseco. Plus if we purchased the Premium Package, we would have to pay an 18% gratuity for every drink. We chose the 4 night Dining Package. It was so worth it. A word of caution, we ate at Murano the second night of the cruise. We had three glasses of wine which we liked and received a bill of $60.00. We figured our package would credit us $27.00 or $9 dollars a glass. It doesn't. Another example, If you buy a drink special for $8.25 you pay the full amount. Fortunately we found that out the next day. Our favorite restaurant by far was The Lawn Club Grill. We both had perfectly grilled 9 ounce Filet Mignons that were to die for. We also enjoyed the entertainment, especially Gareth Oliver, an over the top ventriloquist. Be careful in Turkey ... My wife almost ended up buying an 1,800 Euros carpet. I had to say no to her and at least 5 salesmen about 50 times! We booked our shore excursions independently. We used Viator for the Amalfi Coast which was fantastic and had a free tour of Athens through Distinctive Voyages which we are not members but truly enjoyed. It came with an authentic Greek lunch in Plaka.

Concierge Class 3

Cabin C3

Our cabin was fine. Had a flat screen TV, large King Sized bed and balcony. Bathroom was a little tight. Very quiet area. Good access to all parts of the ship and elevators.

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Used the train from Roma Termini to Civitavechia. It only cost 5 Euros per ticket. Once in Civi, a public bus, 2 Euros each, takes you to the Celebrity Shuttle Buses. Some schlepping but doable and inexpensive.

Mykonos

The ship provided a free shuttle into town. Had a couple of drinks and shared a so so gyro seaside. Took a boat back to the ship. Very inexpensive and scenic.

Rhodes

There is something to say about accessibility. A ten minute walk from the ship and you are in a different world. We loved the hand made pebble streets. The articles sold there were well made and reasonable. There were parks, ruins and a beautiful castle all within an easy walk. Probably our favorite island. Very unexpected.

Santorini

We were well aware of possible wait times coming back down the cable cars, so we got an early start. Took a public bus to Ola, very enjoyable. The island became very crowded and we decided to take an early bus back to Fira and head back down to our boat back to the ship. We ended up waiting over an hour to board the cable car. I was willing to walk down the treacherous steps among the donkeys and poop, my wife wasn't! I thought this would be my favorite place, although beautiful it is very difficult to get on and off the island. It also smells of donkeys!
