We chose this cruise because of price and it was close to home. We sailed on the Valor last year and liked the ship.

We were very pleased with the upgrades. Enjoyed Guy's Burger Bar and the Blue Iguana Cantina. While we were unable to get first seating in the dining room for dinner, we did all right at the buffet. I would like to have some more diabetic friendly choices though. We dined in Scarlett's Steakhouse on evening and it was excellent!! The service was exceptional as was the food.

Embarkation was a bit unpleasant. We arrive at the port after 1:00pm and usually pretty much walk on to the ship. Not so this time. Computer glitches really slowed down the process. It took nearly 2 hours to reach our cabin. This also slowed down the loading of luggage. And since this was the first cruise out of dry dock, extra supplies had to be loaded too. We were a couple hours late leaving port but it did not affect the itinerary.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8B

Our cabin was aft and near the elevators. We did hear the ding of the elevators but it wasn't that annoying. There was plenty of room for the 2 of us and plenty of storage space. The bed was very comfortable and there were no maintenance issues. The balcony is not large but it was comfortable with 2 deck chairs and a small table. Our room steward was fantastic. Everything was spotless and he saw that the few requests we had were taken care of.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We have sailed from this port many times..It is easy to get to and has ample parking. The porters are always available to assist.

Freeport

While we did not get off the ship this time, on a past visit we did walk around the shopping area right at the port. The area was very clean and the shopkeepers were friendly without being overbearing.
