We sailed on Vision of the Seas on 7th to 14th May and had the most wonderful holiday. Having sailed on RCS larger ships previously, the size of the Vision took some getting used to and the choice of food and entertainment was somewhat limited in comparison however that said Captain Merek and his team ensured that we all had a great time. Nothing was too much trouble ......everyone on board was very friendly and I think the smaller ship felt more intimate easy to get around.

We are vegetarian and found that there was plenty of choice of fresh food, salads and fruit, also delicious hot dishes. The entertainment team were tireless and the shows they put on were very entertaining. Sailing out of Venice and later into Montenegro was an experience I will not forget. It was just beautiful.

Embarkation at Venice was a lengthy process but after that getting on and off the ship was very well organised. Captain Merek was very involved with the passengers, attending some of the shows, giving daily reports on weather and birthdays and even singing! I can thoroughly recommend sailing on the Vision.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin N

We were 3 ladies sharing a superior interior stateroom. There were twin beds and a pull down top bunk which was surprisingly comfortable once I had climbed the ladder! The stateroom was adequate for our needs but next time I would prefer a window as it was dark inthe morning and I like to be wakened with the sunlight. There were plenty of drawers and wardrobe space. Our bathroom was compact but had plenty of hot water and fresh towels every day.

Port Reviews

Venice

Sailing out of Venice was beautiful

Athens (Piraeus)

We found an excellent excursion for only 25 euros each which took us by coach to see all the important sights and a few hours shopping Plaka area. IT was well worth it. The guide was very knowledgeable and made sure we were back at the port in time . The visit to the Acropolis was fantastic.

Mykonos

Mykonos was beautiful although very crowded with tourists from cruise ships! We took a bus along to paradise beach and spent a few hours there relaxing before returning g to the town and browsing the shops which were of a good quality.

Kotor

Sailing into the bay of Kotor was breathtaking. We hired a local taxi driver to show us around and he drove us along the coast to Perast which was very tranquil and beautiful. We then had a walk around the old town of Kotor.
