We wanted to go back to Hawaii & see some of the other islands & were intrigued by cruising to Vancouver. All in all we had a great cruise, but to do it again we'd cruise from Vancouver to Honolulu with the weather getting progressively warmer. The last 4 sea days we couldn't use our (wonderful oversized) balcony as it was too cold

We spent 5 wonderful days precruise at the Hale Koa (military resort) revisiting spots that we'd been to on our first visit (45 years ago...a few had changed)

Our ports (Maui, Kona & Hilo) were lovely, especially Kona & Hilo. We did private excursions on both ports. Maui we depended on the local bus (utilizing it as a hop on hop off)

Great, quiet location right by the library & elevators & beside the Celebrity Suites. Wonderful room attendant, Michael. I was in a walking boot (from an injury) & as soon as he saw it he turned & got me two buckets of ice to reduce the swelling & continued to bring me two buckets of ice twice daily for the cruise. This was so thoughtful of him & made my comfort level so much better--never asked for it, he just brought it

Port Reviews

Maui

Used local bus as a hop on hop off. I was suffering an allergis reaction these two days so we didn't stray too far

Honolulu

We traveled on our own for 5 days with a rental car. Pearl Harbor is a must. Aloha Stadium (swap meet) is the place for reasonable souvenirs. Diamond Head is a strenuous hike, but so worth it. Sunset Beach is some great surf watching. Waimea Falls is a great place for flower viewing
