For decades, celebrity has been my favorite cruise line. I have recommended celebrity to hundreds of people. After spending time on the Solstice, I honestly cannot recommend this cruise line anymore.

The ship itself was great. While buffets for breakfast and lunch where diversified and tasty, dinner is a different story. I was sitting at a table for 10 and not one night went by without someone returning their meal. In over 100 cruises I never sent back an entrée but I did so on the Solstice. Also, diner service was slow. Waiters were really hustling but, in my judgment, they were spread too thin and could not keep up with their table assignments.

Visiting entertainment was very good. On the other hand, the production shows where too loud, and all rock type music. The average age on the ship was probably between 55 to 60. The shows should have been presented to teenagers or 20-year-olds. . We were on Azamara a month or two ago and found the same problem. The dancers were excellent but the content of their shows was entirely misdirected. A complete waste of talent!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 2A

Cabin 2A

The cabin and bathroom were fine. Drawer space is a bit limited and I found myself working from my suitcase, which was stored under the bed.
