This was a long awaited cruise as our booking last year was cancelled due to lack of water in the river. It was well worth waiting for.The ship although one of the older ones in the fleet is immaculate.The staff and crew are excellent, efficient, caring, and friendly. The program of visits is excellent with lots of variety and interest with extremely well informed guides. Some of the visits proved quite strenuous for some passengers but were enjoyed and appreciated by everyone. As usual all arrangements were taken care of by Viking, so everything worked like clockwork.Food on board was varied and of excellent quality and presentation.Lectures on board covered a wide range of subjects and were often presented by people with local and personal experience of the areas covered, from lace making to living through reunification.Add to all this the beauty of the country side and you have a perfect holiday.
