*Nativeway Snorkel, Stingray, Starfish $49 each, booked on our own.  Well crewed ship, even on spring break, we weren't crowded at all.  I will say the starfish part of it was short.  One of the crew dove down and brought 2 huge starfish up for us to see.  I had thought it would be an in water thing, and it wasn't.  But it was really neat to see them, and they were very respectful about them, kept water on them to keep them safe while we were holding them.  This is definitely a port you can feel safe booking your own excursion to save some money.  The carnival cruise excursions were right by us, and the boats were FULL of people and crowded.  For the money - it was worth it.  I would book again through Nativeway for sure - but I probably would have picked the excursion that had more snorkel time, because this one is shorter.  

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

*Nachi Cocom is fantastic.  A slice of heaven on earth!  We got there, and they were 'booked full'.  They said that they could let us in without a reservation, but we couldn't have one of the tiki huts.  They put us under a palm tree, brought a table down with an umbrella from the pool, brought us 3 chairs and pampered us all day with food and drinks.  The food was great, and so were the people.  We had been to Playa Mia before, and the beach was very rocky there, but Nachi Cocom was perfect - lots of coral to find in the water and along the beach, but very walkable and perfect water!  I would suggest reservations, booked on your own (taxi ride from pier was $20 for 5).  Something like $45 per person (only charged us $12 for our daughter)

Cozumel

*Booked an excursion through carnival, due to tender situation.  I had read it could be tedious, and I'm glad we did.  we booked the Barrier Reef snorkel with beach break, which turned into a snorkel cruise only due to some 'safety concerns' at the beach.  Not sure what that was all about, but this was a great snorkel stop - some of the best snorkeling I've ever done.  Saw eagle rays and tons of fish.  This crew was awesome - and although there were a lot of people on the boat, it didn't feel crowded.  it was a 'guided snorkel tour' but unlike some, I felt I had the freedom to go where i wanted to go within their area, and there was plenty of freedom to move about as you felt comfortable - people who were inexperienced, could stay closer to boat, others went much further out.  this was a very professional staff, but fun, too - served rum punch after the snorkeling and some fantastic local pico de gallo with chips.  Played some fun party boat music.  It was great    
*Another nice thing about tendering here - and booking carnival excursion - we were able to walk off our boat onto the legend and had 1st priority for tender boat going into belize city.  

Belize City

*Paradise    
*We booked through Victor Bodden.  Our driver Roland, was perfect.  Very conversational, knowledgeable, and a very safe driver.  He catered to everything we wanted to do - we even threw in an obstacle - we wanted to see the turtles at Crystal Caye, and he made it happen! (They were so cool!!!)  Gave us a great tour of the island, took us to west bay beach (its so beautiful) where we ate lunch and snorkeled some great snorkeling right off the beach.  $25 per person.  We even went to see the monkeys and animals at Victor's place - and for $2 per person well worth the money. (anyone who's complained about this stop is too prissy and snobby for me!)  The monkeys are darling, and the guy who takes you through makes sure you have plenty of interactive moments, and picture ops.  Roatan is very poor, but if you have a guide, it's very safe feeling, and a beautiful, beautiful country.   We are considering buying property there - it won't be undiscovered forever.  The water here is so fantastic, and the people very nice.  We did get a sense of the 'urgency' of needing a sale some on the beach.  But they were very kind about receiving a 'no' and went on their way, although asked again, when they saw you again.  Sad, sad, sad that some people don't even 'get off the boat' here.  

Roatan

6258 is a great cabin - Extended balcony is narrower than other suite balconies, but twice as long.  Best thing about cabin - all the way at the back of the ship - worst thing about the cabin - all the way at the back of the ship! LOL  Didn't hear a thing from anywhere - it was great - but man is it a haul to the front of the boat! :)

here's what I learned:    
Southwest:   *Log in early online so you can get an 'A' boarding pass - friends of ours on the same plane (not cruise though) didn't know this, and their family was forced to sit all over the plane and not together which caused one of the daughters some stress    
*Its great to have family in a port town (no hotel info)    
*Tampa is a great port - use the valet parking if you can afford to - it made debarkation very easy (see bullet point below!No, it's not Ruth Chris (we heard the supper club was fantastic from several people, but didn't do it this time).
