The food was superb, especially the specialty restaurants. Most of the service was courteous and efficient. Only toward the end of the cruise did the food servicers' attention diminish.
The cruise stated Tahiti and Easter Island as ports. We were unable to see any of Papeete because of the scheduling of the flights into Papeete. The first day on the itinerary was the arrival day. The flights either arrived around 5 am. or 6:30 pm. Those arriving on the 5:00 am flight were taken to a hotel lobby for the day and were not allowed to leave the lobby until the Marina could be boarded. Taking the 6:30 pm flight, we didn't arrive on the ship until 8:30 pm. Neither of the flights allowed any time in Papeete. The second day of the itinerary, the ship departed at 5:00 am. There was no time to visit Papeete unless a pre-cruise hotel room was booked in Papeete. That wasn't offered in the brochure. Two days were offered at Easter Island and the captain decided to leave the first day to head back to Lima. Oceania offered no compensation for its passengers during the final six days at sea.
The post-tour to Machu Picchu was excellent.
The bed was comfortable and the cabin space adequate. Exceptional cabin stewardess. Could have used a little more clothes storage space..
