I read every single review on this site for this ship before my cruise, so I thought it only fair to post one for someone else looking for tips on Norwegian Jewel to Alaska. I rated this cruise a 4 only knocking down one point for food.

The food was good, not outstanding, like ever. The only memorable meal we had was the upcharged Cagney's. They do amazing steak. We ate at the included restaurants the rest of the time, Garden Café buffet mostly because we had children, but we did go to Tzar's Palace 3X, it had a dress code but was included. We had the BEST waiter there, David from Jamaica, so sweet, and he loved our kids.

Our cabin was on the 10th floor, inside stateroom. I was very concerned about the size going in, but it was all we could afford. We had 2 adults, a 10 year old, and a 4 year old. I was surprised at how well we managed. We only slept there, and our great room steward was in there twice a day cleaning and making up the beds so how could we complain? The bathroom was tiny but very manageable, and the shower wasn't bad at all, lots of room! The parents had a balcony room across the hall, and I honestly liked our bathroom better than their layout. It was nice to have a balcony to borrow though, amazing glacier views, if you can afford it, go balcony.
