Cruise to Iceland on Magellan. As usual really enjoyed it and met some very nice people on board. Sadly there were the usual moaners, mostly about the food. If I have any criticism personally, it might have been slightly over salted for some people's tastes, but I found it just perfect. My cabin was large and roomy, best showers of any ship I have been on and I have been on quite a few. All kept spotless by lovely cheery staff smiling and chatting even though they seem to do very long shifts.
The weather was very rough but you don't go to Iceland for 30 degree heat and a suntan. Although some passengers never cease to amaze me as one woman thought she could be out on deck sunning herself and the brochure was misleading showing blue skies! The lectures were very good being varied and entitled living on Scottish Lighthouses, Van Gogh Sunflowers and The Aurora Borialis, saw a great film as well - Bridge of Spies.
The scenery was spectacular and unfortunately a bad trip for quite a few passengers who were airlifted off the ship and ambulances waiting at quayside to take them to Hospital, however this was quite thrilling to watch for the rest of us and I hope all are well on the road to recovery by now.
Spotless and comfortable, bit near the anchor chain if you are not an early riser.
