This was our 6th time cruising on the beautiful Celebrity Summit. We choose this cruise as a family birthday celebration. Having previously celebrated birthdays and anniversaries on cruises, we expected a very nice celebration. Also, since everyone in our family lives within driving distance of Bayonne, NJ, it was easy to get together. We didn't need to deal with airplanes, etc. We drove to the port, parked our car ($20 day), checked in, and were on the ship. We had all previously sailed to Bermuda on the Summit. Some had previously flown into Bermuda and stayed in hotels. Bermuda is beautiful.

We chose to stay in concierge cabin 8052 near the forward elevators. We were in the same cabin 2 years ago. Cabin was in good condition. There was a bottle of bubbly, fruit, and info about the cruise. Our cabin steward and assistant introduced themselves and asked us what we needed. Our requests were filled promptly. Extra towels, water pitcher, etc. During the cruise, no request was too much for them to handle. We requested afternoon delivery of the cheese plate. The cheese plate wasn't nearly as good as we had had on previous cruises. A few very thin slices of cheese, 3 crackers and 2 grapes. After a couple of days, we stopped getting it. Instead we went to the elite evening reception which served some nice snacks and drinks.

We ate most breakfasts and lunches in the Buffet. Food choices were good. Often crowded, we made choices based on stations that did not have lines. The plates were very heavy. Had to make many trips to gather food, cutlery, drinks, etc. We ate 2 lunches and 1 breakfast in the MDR. Service was slow. Food quality was better in the Buffet. Loved the dessert themes. Cupcake day is delicious. Also, ate at the pool grill. Burgers and hot dogs were very good. Aqua Spa had a nice selection with menu changed daily. For dinner, we ate 6 dinners in MDR. Deck 5 early traditional at a table with a beautiful view. Food and service was good. Our waiter brought our grand children food promptly. Rinaldo was a wonderful waiter. One dinner in Tuscan Grill. It was good. However, it wasn't as good as Tuscan on other ships. It is new and needs to improve.

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

Good location close to the forward elevators. Unobstructed view. Even though it is across from a crew access door, it was very quiet. This was our 2nd time in that cabin. We would pick it again.
