This was our 4th cruise and our 3rd aboard the Eclipse. As ever, the ship remains beautiful and is well maintained inside. Outside, there are a few areas that are looking a little tired, although the ship is only a year out from its last refit. That said, you have to look hard to find them and overall the ship remains impressive. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good. Several things are worthy of special mention:
GUEST RELATIONS
Staff in guest relations were superb. Despite knowing full well that the ship doesn’t have UK plug sockets I managed to forget my travel adaptor. Guest Relations loaned me one for $50 deposit, which was refunded on return of the adaptor. A life saver! We had a few charges erroneously appear on our bill, and this was efficiently sorted out without fuss.
We had a standard balcony stateroom (9231) located on the bulge of the ship near the midship lifts. The stateroom was clean and well maintained. Ample storage. Pillow chocs continue, but towel animals have disappeared again. Loss of towel animals is a shame, but maybe not the end of the world. Port information was included with the copy of Celebrity Today left in the room each evening. Stateroom attendants were attentive, efficient and unobtrusive.
