This was our 16th cruise, having sailed previously on Carnival, RC, Holland America, and Celebrity. This was our second Pacific Coastal cruise, having done another on Celebrity a year or two ago.

Nearly everything about the cruise was outstanding, except for the food. The shows, particularly the musicians, singers, and dancers, were the best I have ever seen. Embarkation and debarkation were ridiculously easy. The ship was spotless, and the service was excellent. We have friends who sail exclusively on Princess, and rave about it.

The Grand Princess had the worst food we have ever had on a cruise. The presentation of the food was excellent, both in the buffet and the dining room. What was lacking was quality and taste. The food quality in the formal dining room was marginally better than that in the buffet, but still unacceptable, with very few exceptions.

Excellent all around.

Very fun to explore an old cruise ship. Disappointed that the Scorpion submarine was being refurbished and unavailable for tours.
