My husband and I took a honeymoon cruise 43 years ago that was NOT enjoyable and we never expected to cruise again. In December, friends invited us to join them on a NCL western Caribbean cruise. Sayin yes, was the best travel decision we have ever made. We were absolutely thrilled with EVERYTHING about cruising, from ship and shore activities to the abundance of great food, drinks and entertainment.

NCL is a great fit for us. When we vacation we are looking for lots of activities and don't want to be forced to dress up, eat at specified times with designated tables. We want to have the freedom to choose what we do and when we do it. We also enjoyed the unlimited beverage package; it allowed us to feel free to experiment with new drinks.

We would also highly recommend having a balcony stateroom (we were on the forward 9th deck with a large balcony); but next time we want a forward deck 8 balcony which is even larger with lounge chair. We have already scheduled our next cruise and are making a bucket list of other dream cruises.
