We booked the NCL Epic as our honeymoon as it hit all the destinations we wanted to visit on our Mediterranean dream cruise. We were surprised with the honeymoon package & had a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and a dozen red roses awaiting in our room!

Embarkation/Debarkation- Getting on in Barcelona was a breeze - we got there about 1/2 hour before the cut-off (we were busy sightseeing the rest of the day), and went right up to an agent to get checked in. Getting off in Barcelona was another story - we got our luggage right away, but had to wait in line for a taxi for over 40 minutes (we almost missed our flight because of that line!).

Food/Drinks - Loved the range of options offered free onboard. The Noodle Bar & Shanghai Asian food were delicious. We enjoyed a few late night Reuben sandwiches from the Irish Pub. The breakfast buffet was the best spread that we've had on any cruise ship before. The Manhattan Room & Main Dining Room offer the same menu...wish we would have known that sooner - the Manhattan Room had superior waiters, view, vibe, & dress code than the Main Dining Room - would have dined here the whole time if we would have realized that earlier. Overall we thought the food for dinner was pretty good - the appetizers were great, so much so that we often ordered 2 or 3 each! We also had one dinner in Le Bistro (the French restaurant) - yum!! We had the drink package, which I think was so worth it. Never had to sign a receipt & didn't feel "nickle & dimed" at all. We could order pretty much any drink we wanted & it was covered in the package. Read more
