Took advantage of UBP & shore excursion credit on the only cruise to fit our time from from Port Canaveral. Also had Cruise credit from previous cruise. Like this size ship and wanted Western itinerary. The Spirit is in fine shape in the public areas and our cabin was no worse for wear considering the age of the ship and time since its last refurb, about 5 years ago I believe. Service in all venues was friendly and good to excellent. We had a change of room stewards but all was in order despite only brief encounters with them.

I would say food in the MDRs has gone downhill over the years, not just on NCL. All the mainstream line seem to want to generate revenue on dining items formerly included in the fare by pushing us into specialty venues. We were not impressed with CD Dave from Australia and felt event scheduling was weak, with times nothing going on to times when things of interest conflicted more than on any previous cruise.

Shore excursions were overpriced as usual with the cruise line but quality was pretty good & balanced out with the $50 per port credit, however, Bamboo beach in Jamaica was almost impossible to get in the water due to undertow & rocks....food and drinks were ok there.

Great Stirrup Cay

Rockiest beach I've ever been to, hard to walk in or stand even with water shoes. Stayed on the beach and drank in the sun...not all bad. Lots of construction on the island with restricted areas.
