Carnival Imagination was a fun ship for first time cruisers! We did the 4 day cruise to Catalina Island and Ensenada Mexico. You can tell the ship is a little outdated, but was kept very clean and the staff was very friendly. We got a little surprise when we got back to our cabin on the first night, since we were sailing during our Birthday month my husband and I each got a $50 gift card to the spa plus other perks.

Dining in the dining room was always great! They had a nice variety, and if you wanted to order more you could. The buffet on the Lido Deck and Horizon Bar was a hit and miss. When it came to items prepared in front of you they were great, but items sitting in the warmers were not that great.

Catalina Island was fun to walk around. It was a little over priced as I expected. Ensenada was a blast. We did the canopy tour that had 5 ziplines and 5 suspension bridges. It took about 2 hours with taxi ride. I would recommend going right away in the morning before it gets too hot.
