I must say having sailed with Celebrity in the past I was excited about this trip. We did have a nice time however, sadly it fell short in a number of ways and is why I cannot rate it more than average.
Overall the ship is lovely, very modern and great facilities. Our cabin was very nice and well located. In particular the lawn club and lawn area on deck 15 are fantastic and we spent lots of time there. The levels of service are generally very good especially from IWayan our Cabin Steward.
Sadly though, I just found the ship too large, that meant a constant mob scene at the pool area which felt very very cramped and overcrowded. In addition, the elevator capacity was just not good enough there were often long waits and not just at peak times. The entertainment in the main was average to poor although the Cruise Director Rich was a fun guy and tried very hard.
Cabin Review
AquaClass 2
Nice standard sized cabin with a good balcony. Plenty of storage space and a decent shower room. It was well taken care of by a good cabin team.
Port Reviews
Naples
Beautiful trip along the Amalfi coast.
Rome (Civitavecchia)
Its a port with little else there. Not worth visiting and the quality of hotels for pre cruise stays are poor.
Santorini
Lovely island to visit but very very touristy.
Mykonos
As up market as I remember it. Great little town, great shopping to explore and we have a great day there and a fantastic lunch.
Kusadasi
Ephesus was fantastic followed by a visit to a hill village and lunch cooked by a local woman. This was a fantastic trip especially sine we are only a group of 8 with a greta guide.
Bodrum
Bodrum is to me the Magaluf or Benidorm of Turkey. Nothing to recommend here for me. Trashy shopping, crappy food and bars.
Athens (Piraeus)
Nice day out to see the city.
